Review: Stronic Zwei for Fun Factory

The Stronic Zwei is the latest toy from Fun Factory.  They released the Stronic Eins recently, aimed at vaginal penetration.  The Zwei is designed for anal play. Not beginners anal play either, I might add. The Zwei is a pretty big toy. I’m not entirely sure how to categorise the Zwei.  I suppose it could be classed as a vibe, but it would be doing it a disservice to describe the internal motor as just another vibrator.  It has a heavy mechanism inside that specifically moves back and forth inside the toy.  The toy itself doesn’t extend and thrust, but if you hold it in your hand, it’ll move from side to side due to the powerful internal movements.  You can try, but you won’t be able to hold your hand still!

I’ve had one of these for a while now.  I didn’t really know what to expect when it arrived and even when I turned it on for the first time, I couldn’t really anticipate how it would feel.  After leaving it overnight to charge, I tried it out and, if I’m honest, I was a little unsure if I liked it or not.  It wasn’t the easiest toy to insert and felt like nothing I’d ever tried before.  It was quite good fun as a novelty but I wasn’t sure it would be one I’d use very often.  I tried it again the next day and felt the same way which was disappointing as I was hoping this toy would be a game changer.  It wasn’t until about a week later that I started to like it, on my third try.  On that third attempt, I knew what to expect.  I knew how it felt and was prepared for it.  I also was prepared for the slight awkwardness of the shape so tried to do things a little differently.

Zwei-3

The third time was fantastic.  I was relaxed and looking forward to using it again.  This time though, I changed positions and inserted the toy the opposite way to how I’d tried it before and it was much more comfortable.  The way the Zwei is designed, it looks like the bulb at the end is designed to be pointed forwards, towards the prostate (or your stomach or you don’t have one).  It’s a little awkward like that, though.  The way the rectum is shaped, it’s hard to insert it fully.  Turned the other way though and it’s a lot easier.  So on the third attempt, I was lying down, relaxed and I slipped it in backwards. Much, much better.  It’s no small toy at just under 2″ wide so if you have one, please take your time with it and warm up with something smaller, if you need to.

The Zwei does initially feel a little strange as, when you turn it on, the movements make the whole toy, including the handle, move back and forward.  It’s not enough to pull the toy out if it’s inside you completely, but might take you by surprise.  It’s definitely more pleasurable if you keep hold of it with one hand.  When you’re used to the feeling, it really does feel good.  Feeling a toy move so much, does take a little while to acclimatise to, especially when the hand you hold it with will move quite a bit, but it’s worth it.

So what does it feel like?  It’s different, but it’s awesome!  You can feel the powerful mechanism moving inside you.  Not like a vibrator, more movement.  It feels like there’s a heavy weight in the middle of the toy, moving from one end to the other.  You can alter the speed of the movement from the initial speed, to 3 faster speeds, or you can choose from three “algorithmic modes” or three “dynamic modes” (which speed up, slow down and beat in off tempo ways) for a total of 10 different patterns.  The dynamic and algorithmic modes can be fun, but I prefer to keep it to a more standard generic pattern.  The slower patterns and beats tend to provide a bit more feel.  The faster movements feel more like a standard vibrator and can make the hand you have holding it a bit tingly after a while.  It feels best to me if I keep it on a slower setting so I can really feel it thump inside me. The three button controller is also a lot better and easier to use than previous Fun Factory toys (the Cobra Libre springs to mind instantly).  There’s nothing more annoying than accidentally turning a toy off or switching modes unexpectedly when you least want it and this problem has been reduced dramatically with the proper buttons and simple control mechanism. What hasn’t changed from previous Fun Factory toys, and for good reason, is the charging mechanism.  The magnetic charger is still used here so if you already have one for a previous toy, you’ll be able to use it with this one.  One thing to bear in mind though is that this toy doesn’t come with it’s own designated charger.  If you don’t have one, you’ll have to remember to buy one.  Some stores throw them in, but not all do, so please check before buying!

So, is this toy really a game changer?  Yes, it is! I really thought that the pulsating movement would be a novelty but it’s fantastic.  Yes, it does take a little while to acclimatise to and due to, I assume, the complicated nature of the mechanism, the toy is very big, but if you’re able to take something this size then it’s worth it! There are so many things to love about this toy.  The silicone is divine, the mechanism is powerful and unusual.  It’s sturdy, and feels great to hold.  The whole package is exquisitely put together.  Even the handle has some fantastic looking curves on it.

However, this is definitely a toy for someone who’s already accomplished in anal play and wants something a little different.  It’s not a toy for beginners.  But, if on the other hand you’re looking for a decent sized anal vibrator that is different from all the rest, something you won’t have tried before, then this is probably the toy for you.

Thanks for sending it my way, Fun Factory!

Dear gds in heaven, why is this not yet in my butt?! Oh great FunFactory, makers of wonderful things, please to be bestowing my butt with this. My butt has opinions, it has fallen in love. My butt needs this. Yes, it tells me so.

Seriously- I really do like their stuff. My first and most beloved vibe that lasted me for almost TEN years was from them. I am stupidly excited by this.

I’ve had a bunch of toys from Fun Factory before, too. I like their silicone and their shapes seem to be above average at least. This one, like the Cobra Libre, just feels so well engineered. You know when you pick up a expensive watch and it feels heavy & solid? This is the same. It’s very weighty, but the materials and build quality are exceptional.

      Hope you receive one soon!

After reading Epiphora’s review of the Eins, I want the Zwei so much more. Wriggly thrusty butt goodness. I need to make my butt irresistible to the FunFactory folk, that’s all there is to it.

          Epiphora’s review was great.

Her experience with the mechanism was the same as mine. It feels a little weird at first but when you’re used to it, it feels fantastic!

          You need one!
