Review: Envy Athletic Fit Brief for Bondara

Behold, the new underwear range by Envy! I was told about these a while ago by Bondara and had been looking forward to them for months before they finally arrived.  I kept pestering them, asking when they were due in so I could model & review a few pairs.  Fortunately, they’re now all in stock for you all to buy.

I’ve been sent a few pairs from the range, but the first ones I’m going to review will be these, the Athletic Fit Brief.

Made from 90% polyester and 10% spandex, the Athletic Fit Brief is a comfortable and nice looking pair of underwear.  As I’ve mentioned before, your physique makes a big difference to which underwear will suit you.  I’m tall with long legs and a long torso so underwear with a thicker waistband suits me better, which is why I specifically requested this pair.

As you can see from the photos, they’re made from a kind of mesh material.  It’s subtle enough to let some skin through, but only in the rear and on the sides.  The crotch has a double layer to protect your modesty.

This pair comes in three waist sizes: S/M (28″-32″), M/L (32″-36″) and L/XL(36″-40″).  I have about a 29″ waist so I picked up the smallest pair (S/M).  They’re comfortable, but the crotch is a little tight.  As is almost always the case with underwear, manufacturers seem to decrease the size of everything with their smaller waist models.  I don’t have any scientific evidence to back this up, but I’m reasonably confident penis size is not related to waist size.  Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe Envy haven’t reduced the size of the pouch at the front at all and it’s small in all sizes.  All I know is that the S/M model could do with being a little bit bigger.  It’s not uncomfortable, but just feels a little bit tighter than it could.

Aside from the slight tightness in the crotch, they’re great to wear.  And they look good!  I’ll let you be the judge, but I think they quite suit my physique.  Trunk style underwear like this also tends to suit more physiques than some of the skimpier thong style underwear, too.  Also, if you have hip bones that stick out or that ripped “V” shape that surrounds your lower abs, you’ll love them.  They’re very low rise and will show off your lower torso.  They also wont stick out if you’re wearing low rise jeans or any other kind of low leg wear which, let’s be honest, can make you look a bit silly.

So to sum them up, they’re great!  I’ve worn them all day a number of times and have had no issues.  Like all delicate underwear, you need to wash them by hand, but that’s not too much of a hardship.

Unlike some of the underwear I’ve reviewed, this pair wouldn’t look out of place anywhere.  If you’re changing into them at the gym or if you accidentally leave them out for your housekeeper to find, they’re all good.  You won’t be embarrassed.  That said, if you’re looking for something a little wilder, I have a couple of pairs of thong underwear from Envy that I’ll be reviewing very shortly, too…

If you want to pick up a pair of these yourself, they’re on sale for £16.99 at Bondara (with free UK delivery). You can click here or on the banner below to view them. Thanks again Bondara!
