Review: Male Power Stretchy See Through Thong for Lovehoney

I was lucky enough to be sent some underwear for Lovehoney’s underwear month of April to test them out and review them.

They had a selection of underwear available to so I marked a selection down containing those that I’d be happy to not only review, but take photos of whilst I’m wearing them. After sifting through and removing all the lace underwear, anything too feminine, and things that revealed a little too much for a photo, I reduced it to a reasonable selection that I added to my wishlist. It included this pair. I thought they’d be perfectly fine for photos as the image on Lovehoney doesn’t look see through at all…

I thought perhaps parts of the underwear were see through. Maybe the back, or top part was crafted from a different kind of material that wasn’t visible in the photo. Nope! They’re see through, all right… The name is definitely not a misnomer. If you want your partner, lover or indeed anyone who sees you to have full view of your crown jewels then this is the underwear for you…!

I was quite excited to receive these in the mail as I’d told my other half about them and was planning on how I’d first wear them for her. My first thoughts upon opening the packaging though, were “How the hell am I going to be able to show these online?!”

So without further ado, here’s the first photo. I took this photo when there wasn’t much light so as not to show too much… It really is far more see through than it looks in this shot but you’ll be able to see the shape, of not the material.

One thing you might not consider when buying underwear is what it feels like to be touched whilst wearing them. Indeed, I tend to either look for appearance, support or comfort when I’m buying mine, depending on what they’re for. Feel is something else to think about though, particularly if you’re buying underwear where the enjoyment is based around them being removed.

Anyway, this particular thong is made from a synthetic mesh material, which is how it’s able to be so see through. It’s crafted in a reasonably generic thong shape, although there is a big seam around the front pouch which helps to keep its shape as well as drawing attention to it.

The mesh material is very comfortable to wear and the shape fits me well. The thong at the back isn’t too wide and the pouch at the front is larger than usual. I struggle to fit into some tight underwear due to the pouches being too tight or restricting. This one has plenty of room. Overall it’s a good fit. I’ve worn it for whole days underneath my business suit at work and have been very comfortable. It’s also pleasing to look at, although I’ll let you be the judge of that from the photos…

This is where this underwear shines. The mesh material feels fantastic when touched through it. I wasn’t expecting to find anything that felt sexier than spandex when touched and stroked, but I was wrong. There’s something about being touched through mesh that feels just wonderful.

Overall, I’m really pleased. Personally, I feel a little self conscious wearing something so see through, but my other half loves them! They’re her favourite pair so I now wear them whenever I can. She loves the look and the feel of them more than any others (and I own a lot of underwear…).

Review: Tantus Ryder

Reviewing the Tantus Ryder is a bit like reviewing the film Star Wars. Even if you haven’t seen it, you have a pretty good idea that it’s a great movie. The Tantus Ryder is the butt plug equivalent of Star Wars. I don’t think I’ve ever read a negative review and when people discuss plugs its often not even mentioned due to its “goes without saying” status. However, those new to sex toys may not have heard of it, so let me enlighten you…

The Tantus Ryder is, in my opinion, Tantus‘s flagship plug. They craft a whole range, but the Ryder is the one everyone thinks of, and for good reason: There is nothing bad about this toy.

For a start, the design is a winner. It’s shaped like a large cylindrical tablet that’s attached to a thin shaft and a flat base. It’s easy to insert but stays in place due to the insertable/shaft ratio and because of the well designed base, it does not suffer from “plug twist” at all. Because of its simple, no nonsense design, the Ryder works. It doesn’t have a complicated shape, designed to stimulate the prostate and it’s not so large that it will be too awkward to wear for long periods.

The Ryder is a great plug for you to “slip in and leave in”. Sure, you’ll know it’s there, which is the whole point, but it won’t distract you too much. You can leave it in for hours and it’ll just feel…nice. (I don’t literally mean leave in for hours on end, by the way. I’d always recommend relubricating every half hour or hour). For me, it’s an all day plug. I pop it in and only remove it when I need to. It’s also the plug I now keep in my bag all the time (replacing the Fun Factory Bootie that used to be there) alongside a small tube of GiveLube.

It can also be left in during sex. It’s secure enough to not pop out and doesn’t move about regardless of your position.

Its also very well made. Like all Tantus silicone products, it’s crafted from 100% pure platinum silicone so it’s phthalate free, completely body safe and absolutely non-porous. This means that not only do you have nothing to worry about with regards to your skin, but that you can store it with your other Tantus toys without having to use separate bags.

This may look like it has been written by a Tantus fanboy and I guess, in all honesty, I am. But for good reason. I own a bunch of Tantus toys and I like them all. I’ve also never been sent a Tantus silicone toy to review, including this one. I’ve bought them all myself and I’m writing this because I genuinely love it.

When people ask me to recommend a plug and they’re not anal beginners, this is always the first one I mention. If it isn’t in your toy box, perhaps it should be…

I was lucky enough to be sent this toy recently from Paul at SexShop365.co.uk.

He asked me if I was ready to review something else for him and, if I was, to have a look round the SexShop365 site and come up with a few suggestions. I had a good look around and sent him a few links. I included a couple I’d had my eye on for a while, a couple that I thought would be good and this one. I thought this would be ok, but not great. It looked like a reasonable shape and the idea was good but so many toys like this don’t live up to their expectations. The Rude Boy is a classic example. This one, however, is different…

I thought I’d be writing a review that described this toy as average, I really did. Not so. The Evolved “Get A Grip” is, by far, the best designed vibrating prostate massager I’ve tried.

To start with, the choice of material is good. It’s crafted from hard ABS plastic with a polyurethane coating that gives it an exceptionally smooth finish. It’s similar to the ultra soft silicone finish of some Nexus toys, for example the Max5, which is certainly no bad thing. It feels silky to touch. I keep finding myself picking it up to feel it, like I did with the Max5. The finish is also perfect. If you look very closely, you can see a seam, but you can’t feel it. It’s also rock hard. There’s no give at all in the plastic and the reason for choosing a hard plastic became apparent the first time I used it.

The reason it’s hard is because the vibrating portion is right at the end of the toy. It’s not like a Rude Boy or similar toy that’s powered by a bullet or has a small vibrating portion in the handle. This vibrates where you want it. Right at the end. The vibrations are also quite rumbly for such a small toy. Much more powerful than any bullet powered toy I’ve ever used. The vibrations don’t slow down much when you grip the end firmly either, which can happen with some products. It has a choice of seven patterns. A few different constant settings and a few that stop & start.

Using the toy isn’t a let down. It feels nice inside, not sharp or awkward, and the handle is excellent (even for someone with hands as big as mine). The size is small enough for a near beginner to use, but don’t let that put you off. It’s big enough to tease the prostate, which is what it was designed to do. It’s not meant to be a big toy that fills you up. It’s meant to be moved around inside, which is how I like to use it. I like to slip it in (not all the way, about 3 inches) and apply varying pressure to my prostate over and over. The vibrations aren’t essential but if I do turn it on then I like everything to vibrate so I’ve been using my Cobra Libre simultaneously

I’ve used this toy a number of times now and I’ve always enjoyed it, whether alone or with my other half. The handle is probably best when used with a partner. It’s easy to hold like a gun (if on all fours) or in reverse (if laying down). It’s still very easy when used as a solo toy, however, which is how I’ve used it most of all.

After publishing my Rude Boy review, I received a few messages from people who enjoyed using theirs. It turned out that almost all of them liked using the Rude Boy’s perineum massager as a handle and used the tip to stimulate their prostate. This is the toy they need instead! With the Rude Boy the vibrations only serve to make your hand buzz. Not that many reach the end of the toy. With this one, it’s the end that vibrates. I can’t begin to tel you how much better it is for this kind of use. If you’re thinking about buying a Rude Boy, don’t. Buy one of these instead!

Review: Tantus Charmer

The Charmer was my first Tantus toy.

I remember searching for it online. Not it specifically, but for a new toy in general that fit a particular description. I was always fussy about materials so it had to be something safe, preferably silicone, and I didn’t want anything too big. I also wanted something that would feel good on my prostate.

I hadn’t purchased anything from Tantus at the time (or indeed from many companies, this was one of my first toys) but I’d heard of them and of their reputation for producing 100% body safe products so I had a look at their range. The Charmer immediately jumped out at me. It wasn’t too big, it came in purple (possibly my favourite sex toy colour!) and it had those wonderful prominent ridges that looked like they’d hit the spot. So I bought it…

As soon as it arrived I couldn’t wait to use it. I’d had bad experiences with a few other toys before (see my reviews of the Aneros MGX and the Rocks Off Rude Boy) but was confident this one would be better. And it was!

This was the first toy I bought that really felt good, right from the first time I used it.

I remember using it for the first time. Unlike the majority of other toys, the head is the largest part of the Charmer so I lubed it up, relaxed and tried it out. To my delight it was easy to insert. Partly due to the shape of the head and partly due to being crafted from Tantus’s super smooth silicone. It’s reasonably firm, but not so firm that you can’t squash it (much softer than a Lelo toy, for example) and the surface is very smooth (so it doesn’t attract dust like a Fun Factory toy). Once the head was inside, inserting the rest of the toy was a breeze.

Slipping the toy inside though is just half the fun.

This toy is a thruster. The ridges on the Charmer are there for a reason. They separate this toy from all others. Pulling the Charmer out feels as good as pushing it in and repeating this over and over feels even better. However, it’s not for hard, furious pounding. No. It’s quite a thin toy and very flexible so it’s more designed for you to lie back, relax and slowly, gently, delicately move it in and out. This isn’t a toy for a ‘quickie’, it’s a toy that’s meant to be savoured. Treat it not like a shot of Victory Gin, designed purely to intoxicate you as quickly as possible; but like a fine wine, fermented for you to enjoy slowly, to prolongue the experience.

Treat it well, use it wisely and you won’t regret it. I still enjoy using mine. It’s the ridges that provide a unique experience. Pointing them towards my stomach feels fantastic when I slide it in and out as I can feel them running back and forth. It’s more of a tease than other toys as it doesn’t directly stimulate my prostate but gently runs over it again and again.

This was the first product I bought that really excited me about sex toys and is one I still enjoy using to this day. You can buy one here!

Review: Hollow Princes Wand for Titus Toys

This is my first urethral toy. Well, that is to say my first of two toys that I have been kindly sent to review from Titus Toys.

This particular toy is a surgical steel princes wand. A long, slender tube that slides down into the urethra, attached to a ring that sits around the head of the penis. A little hardcore for a first urethral toy? Possibly. But never let it be said that I am not up for a challenge!

Before I describe what it’s like to use the toy, I need to note just how well it is made. Build quality is important in all toys of course, but especially so in products that are inserted into the urethra. Tiny seams can be unnoticeable in dildos or plugs, but when using a toy in an area so sensitive, one cannot take any chances. To that end, this product delivers. It’s superbly crafted from end to end. It’s entirely uniform and there are no imperfections. At all.

The first time I used this toy, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. I’d heard good things about urethral play and had been keen to try out a sound or wand for some time. When I opened up my parcel from Titus Toys to see this shining in front of me, I couldn’t wait to try it out.

Leaning back comfortably with my ‘Very Deep’ lube and Princes Wand to hand, I was ready. Keen not to cause injury, I applied a generous amount of lube to the entire wand and also to the tip of my penis and began to slide it in.

It felt a little unusual to start with but not unpleasant. Like the first time you insert an anal toy, strange but not at all uncomfortable. I took it slow and held my penis pointing to the ceiling so I could let gravity pull the wand deeper, whilst I stabilised it with my other hand. It was after a couple of inches or so that I began to feel a familiar sensation…

I stopped as soon as I felt it. I wasn’t was I? Really? After so short a time and with so little stimulation?

The feeling I’m referring to, of course, is the sensation of an approaching orgasm…

So I stopped. Briefly. It subsided. I stated again and immediately began to feel it once more. This time I carried on. The deeper it went, the more I felt that familiar sensation except now it didn’t feel like it was approaching any longer. It actually felt like a long, slow orgasm. But nothing happened… I didn’t ejaculate. I didn’t feel any muscular contractions, involuntary or otherwise. My penis wasn’t even fully hard. So what happened?

I wasn’t sure, but after such a pleasant sensation, I wanted to try more. By this time, the wand was deep in my urethra, as far as it would go. I tried to flex my PC muscle and it pushed the wand out just a little bit. I relaxed and it slipped back inside. More of the same. That familiar feeling. I wasn’t ejaculating, but it felt so similar, the feeling of something sliding up and down my urethra. I gently pulled the wand out a few more inches and it felt even more like a tiny, controlled orgasm.

By this point, I knew I wasn’t actually approaching or experiencing orgasm, but it didn’t matter. This was so good. Different and unusual, but fantastic. I carried on sliding the wand deep into my penis, then out until it was barely penetrating the tip, then back in again. Over and over. At this point my eyes were rolling back into my head. Even someone like me who likes to tease out orgasms, making them last as long as possible, wasn’t used to such a long sensation. I was used to orgasms lasting about ten seconds but this went on and on. Between thirty seconds and a minute I carried on sliding it in and out.

It’s a strange feeling, the first time you use one of these. I’m not sure what I was expecting, but I wasn’t expecting something so intense or so akin to that of an orgasm. Ok, it’s not exactly the same. It doesn’t peak like an orgasm and you don’t experience any involuntary muscular contractions, but it’s the closest thing I’ve felt to an orgasm without actually having an orgasm.

The feeling doesn’t become old, either. I wondered if it would feel less impressive the second time I tried, but not a bit of it. Thinking about it now, why would it? I know what you’re thinking. “It can’t be perfect, Andy!”. You’re right. There are a couple of things you need to bear in mind.

Firstly, the loop at the top is a little small for me. I really can’t mark Titus down for this though, as they just sent this to me on a whim without knowing my size. If you’re thinking of buying one though, check that you have the correct size.

Secondly, using one of these is a little advanced and requires a little more effort than most other toys. It’s not like jacking off. You can’t really just do it anywhere. You need to be relaxed, sober, with a steady hand and plenty of time to take it slowly.

Thirdly, this particular wand is quite wide. I found it a tight fit. Not too tight, but a fraction smaller may have been slightly easier for my first time.

Other than those three minor points, I can’t recommend one enough. You don’t just have to use one the way I have described, either. There is a perfectly drilled hole through the centre that enables you to urinate through it, should you so wish. Instead of concentrating on the sensations felt by moving the wand, it is very pleasurable to stroke yourself (or indeed be stroked) whilst it is fully inserted. I’d advise against masturbating furiously when it is inside, but slowly bringing yourself to orgasm is very pleasurable and, due to the hole in the middle, entirely possible. It’s also possible to stroke slowly with no intention of reaching orgasm and just enjoying a state of near orgasmic bliss.
