Review: Oxballs Atomic Jock Cock-Lock for UberKinky

I saw this advertised a while back as one of the new releases from Oxballs.  I didn’t know quite what to think at first. But then it occurred to me that not everybody is as enthusiastic about chastity, and in particular chastity devices, as I am. So it struck me that this was a device for the newcomer. Someone who was interested about chastity, but unsure whether they’d actually enjoy it. Maybe someone who’d fantasised about being locked (or locking up a partner) but wanted to try something in between nothing at all and a lockable cage. You see, the thing that separates this device from, I think, all others is the complete lack of a lock. It’s a slip on device made from stretchy TPR (thermoplastic rubber) that slides onto the penis and stays there under its own elasticity. No locks, no keys. If you want to take it off, it just pulls off without any hassle whatsoever. I know, I know. It’s called the cock-LOCK… A slightly ironic name for the only chastity device in existence without an actual lock, but I’ll forgive Oxballs just this once.

Then recently, Vikki from UberKinky emailed me, asking if there was anything I’d like to review. I mentioned I’d seen this device and inquired as to whether they were going to stock them. As it happened, they had already been delivered and were waiting to have photographs taken and the website updated. So UberKinky kindly sent me this one in exchange for this review.

So would that actually work? Well, I’ve tried it and I can confirm that it can. It’s certainly an unusual shape, and I was unsure whether it would make sense in practice, but I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. Now, I haven’t given this particular device the usual road test that I like to do with other chastity devices. Normally, I like to stay locked in them for a couple of weeks or so, to properly test them out. But this one isn’t designed for that, at all. It’s designed for the chastity fantasist who wants to take things further, or the professional Dominant who wants a device they can place on someone for the duration of a session. Because of that, I’ve used it as intended. I’ve worn it for whole days, just not days and nights.

So, what’s it like to wear? Comfortable! I thought it might be, as long as it didn’t fall off, and it is. The TPR is very stretchy and, once on, stays on. It doesn’t slip down the penis or start to drop off. Although it looks similar to silicone devices like the Bon4, the composition of TPR is more elastic, which is why it works. I’m not sure of any other body safe material that would. I must add at this point that whilst TPR is indeed body safe, it’s still slightly porous. I wouldn’t advise sharing this device or keeping it forever. It’s phthalate free and doesn’t contain any nasty substances, but it will pick up bacteria over time, so just bear that in mind. That said, I imagine most people who wear one of these either never want to wear one again or love it so much they want to be locked in a proper device. Let’s hope for the latter!

Putting the device on is less tricky than I imagined. As always, balls first, and be careful when you first try it! I found the best way is to hold open the hole for your testicles as wide as you can. It’s nice and stretchy so will be plenty big enough for you to just drop your testicles in and then, slowly, release the tension on the device. The first time I tried this, I accidentally let go of one side and the impact made me almost fall over. So be careful! Let me make these idiotic mistakes so you don’t have to! Once the balls are secure, it’s time to slide the penis in. Now this is the only tricky part. One of the other reasons this device stays put is because TPR is very grippy. It sticks to skin very easily, which is great for keeping it on, less great for actually putting it on in the first place. I found it easiest, like lots of devices, in the shower. But it is possible without being wet. You could try a little water based lube if you’re struggling, but patience should do it. I wouldn’t personally want to be sticky inside of a device this enclosed.

Once it’s on, you can go about your day, or session or whatever. As you can see from the photo below, it’s not a huge device, but it does protrude somewhat, certainly compared with many other devices, except possibly The Curve and The Birdcage, so it’s a little obvious underneath tight clothing. However, if you’re down the gym and want to look bigger than you are, then this is the device for you! It’s also more comfortable than the Bon4 and DickCage, both silicone lockable devices. I deliberately tried out different devices in between sessions with this one, to be able to provide an accurate comparison. This is definitely the most comfortable.

Wearing the Oxballs Cock-Lock is actually great fun. The TPR provides a lot of feel. You can really feel it when it’s grasped or touched or teased. But it’s enough to prevent erections, the primary aim of any chastity device, locking or otherwise. There’s also a hole at the end if you need to urinate, which is actually nicely lined up. If you wanted to use a vibrator against it then you could feasibly orgasm and ejaculate through it. It’s a simple but effective design and I love it. It won’t be for everyone. I’m sure many of you who regularly read my chastity reviews won’t be that interested as you’re either already locked in something secure or you have a partner that you lock away. But for those of you who’ve read them and thought “I quite fancy that, but where do I start?”, then this is probably the device for you. It’s not expensive, it’s comfortable and it doesn’t lock on. What are you waiting for?

You can buy an Oxballs Cock-Lock device in clear TPR, like the one I have, in black, for £34.99 and you can browse many more chastity devices at UberKinky’s dedicated male chastity section. Thanks UberKinky!
